Each pair of Surf Gems earrings is a one-of-a-kind creation made from reclaimed surfboard resin — the hardened layers of fiberglass resin that drip and pool beneath boards during the glassing process.
By rescuing and repurposing these resin remnants — aka “surf rocks” — Surf Gems transforms a byproduct of surfboard building into wearable art.
Hand-cut, shaped, sanded, drilled, and polished in Morro Bay, California, each piece preserves the spontaneous swirls of pigment and translucence created when resin colors mix mid-cure. No two pairs share the same color gradients, contours, or light play.
This collection celebrates a circular approach to design — turning what would have been surf-industry waste into luminous jewelry that captures the ocean’s rhythm and the soul of sustainable craftsmanship.
